CPP Tanker Shipbroker - Far East Market Experience

On behalf of an international broking group, with activities in dry bulk, tankers and S&P, we are looking for an experienced Clean Petroleum Product Tanker chartering broker to join their Singapore office.

Candidates should have a good track record and connections in the market, especially in the Far East region, and demonstrate an ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Working with direct clients to conclude fixtures in the relevant market sector.
• If required, preparing or assisting in the preparation of necessary charter parties and other appropriate documentation.
• Working closely, when necessary, with other offices within the group.
• Helping post-fixture team to provide full follow-up post-fixture service, to ensure top quality client service and support.
• Developing and maintaining new clients.

Requirements:

• Degree or other shipping qualification or relevant market experience.
• Prefer minimum 3/5 years' experience in the CPP chartering market, especially in the Far East region.
• Brokers with good connections in the market are definitely preferred.
• Strong background in and knowledge of shipping fundamentals, charter parties, other documentation and procedures.
• Good communication skills and an excellent level of English.
• A self-starter, able to develop and maintain new business.
• Ability to work well with and inspire other team members.
