Newbuilding/ S and P/ Project Shipbrokers - Japanese Clients

On behalf of one of the largest shipbroking firms in the world, we are keen to find Japanese speaking shipping professionals to work as shipbrokers of Newbuilding/ Sale & Purchase and Project Chartering services to Japanese clients.

Responsibilities:

• The team in this area specialises in packaging newbuildings and long term period time-charters, and is also is engaged in 2nd hand S&P and short/medium term period time-charter for clients.
• The company wishes to expand its existing Japanese ship-owners client base focusing on independent Japanese ship-owners in Japan and Singapore.

Requirements:

• Whilst a shipbroking background is preferred, suitably qualified candidates currently working for ship-owners /charterers or trading houses will be considered including those at both the senior and more junior levels.
• Fluent English and Japanese language ability is required for this role.
• A professional ability to approach, develop and maintain contacts with Japanese owners, as well as the cultural ability and skill to succeed in business with them.
• A hunger to learn a new business area and excel, alongside a professional team with long experience of working with Japan.
