Supramax Chartering Managers

A leading international ship operating firm is looking for Supramax Chartering Managers to be based in their Singapore office.

The roles will be to source cargo from China also the Pacific region.

Responsibilities:

• Supramax vessel chartering/operating.
• Liaising with other affiliate offices and assisting the activities of these offices.
• Fixing cargoes and/or vessels as required.
• Developing new business and clients.
• Preparing charter parties and/or other necessary shipping documentation.
• Undertaking business trips to see clients, as necessary.

Requirements:

• Good quality undergraduate degree from recognized institution or other shipping qualification.
• 3-7 years' experience working on the sourcing cargo for Supramax in China and the Pacific region.
• Good knowledge of Supramax dry bulk trades.
• Dynamic and ambitious team player with a proven track record in chartering.
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, brokers and other key industry stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and English language proficiency is essential.
• Chinese ability is an advantage.
